Pragmatic Play dropped Wilds & the Beast Megaways in 2024, and it's one of those slots that feels genuinely built for high-volatility chasers. I've put real sessions in on Roobet, and the beast transformation mechanic during free spins is the kind of feature that keeps you watching the screen. The max win sits at 21.6kx your stake, the RTP is a solid 96.5%, and the bet range spans $0.20 to $100 — making it accessible whether you're micro-staking or going aggressive. If you're setting up to play, make sure to use Roobet promo code CRYPTYT to grab 20% rakeback on your deposits.
Overview
Wilds & the Beast Megaways carries a dark fantasy adventure aesthetic. Think enchanted forests, mystical creatures, and a beast that grows in power as the game unfolds. The visual design doesn't scream cutting-edge, but it has character — Pragmatic Play nailed the atmosphere without overdoing the particle effects. The theme works because the beast transformation ties directly into the gameplay mechanics, not just the window dressing. What I noticed playing this on Roobet is that the slot feels paced well for longer sessions; it's not constantly triggering wins that burn through your balance in five minutes, and it's not so dry that you're watching dead spins for hours. The Megaways engine pairs with dynamic reel counts that shift mid-spin, which keeps the probability of landing wins fresh across your bankroll.
Gameplay & Features
The core structure is Megaways with a twist. Instead of a fixed layout, the reel heights change during base game and free spins, which alters your payline count on every single spin. Here are the features you'll encounter:
- Dynamic Megaways Engine: Reel heights vary from 2 to 7 symbols, so your active paylines shift constantly. This keeps base game sessions unpredictable and is especially relevant during free spins when the beast takes over.
- Beast Transformation: During the free spins round, the beast grows and stacks up multipliers. Each time the beast lands or transforms, your multiplier climbs higher. This is the feature that separates Wilds & the Beast Megaways from standard Megaways releases.
- Expanding Wilds: Wild symbols can expand to fill entire reels, creating better winning combinations. In the free spins round, expanded wilds interact with your multiplier stack, making big wins feel earned rather than random.
- Multiplier Stacks: The free spins bonus applies increasing multipliers tied to the beast transformation. One transform = 2x, two = 3x, and so on. This mechanic is what makes the max win of 21.6kx possible.
- Free Spins Bonus: Land scatter symbols to trigger the round. You get a handful of spins to start, and the beast mechanic activates immediately. Retriggering is possible if you land more scatters during the feature.
